SPACELAB in Cleveland, Ohio
SPACELab provides an environment for emerging and student artists to present work that challenges their aesthetics and interacts physically and socially with the public. Pays a stipend of $7,000 for 8.5 weeks (8 program and .5 orientation). Monday through Thursday activities take place at the University of Dayton. This will be an informational/ exhibit planning meeting, Saturday at MCAD, Minneapolis College of Art and Design, 10am - noon, in classroom 410. Meeting will be focused on the Women and Water Rights, Ripples of Regeneration Exhibit at the Nash Gallery, U of MN, 2010.
Women and Water Rights, Ripples of Regeneration is a regional and international art exhibition scheduled to be shown from February 23 to March 25, 2010, in the Nash Gallery on the Twin City campus of the University of Minnesota. By showcasing invited international artists from many parts of the world, a global mail art/postcard show, as well as a juried selection (women or women/men collaboration) from the State of Minnesota, the exhibit will examine the centuries-old intimate connectedness between women and water in its daily use, in cultural traditions and in the spiritual realm. At the same time, through accompanying programs featuring lectures, panel discussions, videos and interactive activities the exhibit intends to draw public attention to the current and future global water crises as seen from a gender perspective.

Journey through the psyche of Captain Melisande Blue in Noel William's award winning Pochinko clown and Bouffon style show. Packed and ready to go, Mel and her baggage find themselves at a train station exiled for "loving a little too much." Her divine ride features a feisty turnstile, dinner dates with luggage, and a two and a half foot mini version of "Gone with the Wind." A Fringe Festival favorite throughout the county, this will be the first time the full show has been seen in Chicago.

Artists are encouraged to submit works in any media and on any subject so long as they fit within the eligibility guidelines. Thus artists can use this exhibition as a means of either offering social or political commentary or of simply expressing beauty. Part of the proceeds from this show will benefit the Differently Minded Art Studio in Chicago, IL. This exhibition is open to any and all members of the St. Louis and Chicago chapters of the Women's Caucus for Art.

Summer 2008 Performance Art Workshops with Barbara Neri
Barbara Neri will teach two Performance Art Workshops via Pinckney Community Education at her spacious studio in Hamburg Township, MI. The dynamic elements of performance will be learned and experimented with during these workshops. All experience levels welcome. Workshops are limited to 18 participants each. Fee: $135.00.
