WCA-CO is hosting a Mixed Media show. Mixed Media is visual art that combines various distinct art media like found objects, painting, graphite, altered book, assemblage, collage or decollage. The show will be juried by Patricia Calhoun, Editor-in-Chief of Westword, a Denver weekly. Accepted artists' work will be exhibited at the Annex @ Core Gallery, 900 Santa Fe Drive, Denver Colorado 80204. Submissions may be no larger than 30"x24" for 2D work or no larger than 12"x12"x5' and 25 lbs for 3D work. Submit up to 3 works for $25.00.

CULTUREHALL SUMMER 2013 NEW ARTISTS FEATURE APPLICATION CALL

Culturehall, a curated online resource for contemporary art, invites artists to submit work to an open application call.  Four artists will be selected for membership and inclusion in our Summer 2013 New Artists Feature. As a member, each artist can directly share their work, accomplishments, and events with the audience of arts professionals who visit Culturehall daily.  The New Artists Feature will publish to our homepage and by newsletter on September 4th.

Submit links of your work or 5 images for review.  Applications are $35 and if selected, you will be able to share your full portfolio with no additional fees or subscriptions.

Applications close August 14th at midnight EST.

ART Lakeview!

ART Lakeview is calling all Chicago-area artists to join our annual fall pop-up gallery display. This three-week exhibit is designed to showcase local talent and the many extraordinary businesses along Lincoln Avenue. The storefront displays will beautify the corridor and attract the curious, the novice and the art enthusiast to this vibrant community. ART Lakeview invites artists to submit original works in varying disciplines to our jury for selection. Those pieces accepted for participation will be displayed at a number of retail venues and storefronts along Lincoln Avenue between Addison and Diversey. Lakeview residents and the general public will be able to view your exhibited works as they visit their favorite Lincoln Avenue locations. 
The artist entry fee is $25 for up to two pieces of submitted artwork, and $50 for three to five submitted pieces. Checks should be made payable to Lakeview Chamber of Commerce and included with the Application, which can be downloaded at LakeviewChamber.com. Participation is open to artists 18 years of age or older.

The Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, administrator of the City of Chicago's Percent for Art Program, invites professional Chicago-based artists to submit their interest in creating wall mounted work for the Edgewater Branch Library. Located at 6000 N. Broadway, the new library opened to the public on June 22, 2013. The 18,665 square-foot, two-story full service branch library replaces the former Edgewater Branch Library on the same block. Open call: Artist in residence, OT301 Amsterdam

OT301 is a artist organization in Amsterdam, exploring the possibilities to open up our main building by hosting a residency program in one of our studios. OT301 is located in the former film academy next to the Vondelpark at Overtoom 301. It was originally squatted in 1999, then bought by association in 2007. There is a venue, a cinema, a gallery, a culture-kitchen, a recording studio, a theater-studio and a body-lab as well as people living and working in their studios.
