The Italian Landscape Workshop with Nina Weiss offers a wonderful opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the study of the classically beautiful Italian landscape. Designed for artist and art lovers at all artistic levels, this workshop allows students working in various mediums an intensive exploration of the romantic Italian landscape surrounding the hilltop towns of Todi and Casperia. ALL ARCHIVAL REPOSITORIES holding primary source materials of and about women visual artists active in the U.S. since 1945 are invited to be included in WAAND, the Women Artists Archives National Directory, an innovative Web directory developed by Rutgers University Libraries.

Please make plans to list your collections with WAAND and make your holdings known to interested scholars and students around the world. WAAND will go live to users during summer 2006. You can learn more about WAAND at . WAAND is designed to become a powerful research tool for scholars, students, artists, and collecting institutions around the world. WAAND will direct users to the location of the papers of contemporary women visual artists and to the records of organizations of women artists active in the U.S. The development of WAAND has been funded by the Getty Foundation.

The Jacksonville International Airport Arts Commission is seeking local 3D artists to showcase at the Jacksonville International Airport (which receives over 5 million visitors annually).

Artwork will be displayed in 4 glass kiosks in the main terminal building for a period of 3 months. Discrete sales are permitted during this time.

The Illinois State Committee of the National Museum of Women

Join the Illinois State Committee of NMWA as we celebrate Illinois women artists in our 4th Annual Grants Exhibition. This year, we are excited to announce that Karen Irvine, Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Photography, will be our juror.

We will select a group of photographers to be included in an exhibition at Roosevelt University's Gage Gallery at 18 S. Michigan Ave, and/or on the Committee's web site at www.ilnmwa.org Two of the artists will be chosen as receipients of the Illinois NMWA grant of $500 each.

The Illinois State Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts was formed in 1989 to assist the Museum in its mission to honor women's achievements - both past and present - in all of the arts. The committee promotes greater awareness of those achievements through exhibitions and education programs. The exhibitions include an annual juried awards exhibition and invitational exhibitions highlighting the work of emerging women artists.
