Featured Member Artist

Entry Deadline extended: December 1, 2010
Theme: Twelve WCA members will be selected to be featured for one month each during 2011. The ”Featured Artist“ section of the website will include the artist's name, images, and a link to her own website, or a website of her choice.

Entry fee: FREE

Application process: To facilitate a blind review, please email one jpeg to nationalwca@gmail.com using ‚ “Featured Member Competition” as the subject line and naming your JPEG with your MEMBER ID number (for example: 0123456.jpg). You must use this email address to be considered. Upon preliminary selection, members will be asked to submit five images for final selection.
Image size: 72dpi, not exceeding 500 pixels in any direction.
Selection Process: Blind review of each applicant's digital image.
Notification: December 20, 2010

live space Button Design

2011 National Juried Exhibit for WCA LIVE SPACE conference button.

Entry deadline: Wednesday, December 1, 2010, 5 pm

Juror: Executive Board WCA National

Theme: Enter and create the winning design that will represent the 2011 Women’s Caucus for Art Conference button. Buttons will be available for purchase at the conference. A free button goes to anyone bringing knitting needles and yarn to the conference and taking part in the WCA “Knit In and Community Latch On” during any part of the CAA and WCA events.

Requirements: Design must be a circle, 3.5 inches across (diameter), accommodating a 1/4 inch bleed. Art must be camera ready, in JPEG format at 300 dpi.

Entry fee: $5 per design; limit 3 designs, make checks out to WCA-MI,
