Join the Illinois State Committee of NMWA as we celebrate Illinois women artists in our 4th Annual Grants Exhibition. This year, we are excited to announce that Karen Irvine, Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Photography, will be our juror.

We will select a group of photographers to be included in an exhibition at Roosevelt University's Gage Gallery at 18 S. Michigan Ave, and/or on the Committee's web site at www.ilnmwa.org Two of the artists will be chosen as receipients of the Illinois NMWA grant of $500 each.

The Illinois State Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts was formed in 1989 to assist the Museum in its mission to honor women's achievements - both past and present - in all of the arts. The committee promotes greater awareness of those achievements through exhibitions and education programs. The exhibitions include an annual juried awards exhibition and invitational exhibitions highlighting the work of emerging women artists.
